There are seasons in life when we wake up and realize we've lost touch with ourselves.

Sometimes it happens gradually.

We become consumed by work, caregiving, achievement, or simply getting through each day.

Sometimes it follows burnout, illness, grief, or an unexpected life transition.

We keep showing up.

We keep caring for everyone else.

We keep functioning.

Until one day, we realize we've become disconnected from the very person we rely on most.

Ourselves.

If any of this feels familiar, I want you to know you're not alone.

Because I've been there too.

My Story

My career has taken me from corporate law to Traditional Chinese Medicine, mindfulness, coaching, and clinical hypnotherapy.

Looking back, every step was guided by the same question:

How do we truly heal?

At first, I searched for answers through education, research, and professional training.

Eventually, life invited me to search somewhere much closer to home.

As an acupuncturist and clinical nutritionist, I found myself caring for the whole person. I was deeply invested in supporting my patients' physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Like many helping professionals, I became so focused on caring for others that I slowly stopped listening to my own body, my own needs, and my own inner knowing.

Professional burnout and emotional exhaustion followed.

Around the same time, I was also diagnosed with Stage 3 HER2-positive breast cancer.

Burnout and cancer became two of my greatest teachers.

They invited me to ask a question that changed my life.

How had I become so disconnected from myself?

My healing wasn't about becoming someone different.

It was about coming home to myself.

What I Discovered

Healing didn't come from finding one perfect answer.

It came from discovering new ways of relating to myself.

Three discoveries became the foundation of my own healing and today they shape the work I share with others.

 

Mindfulness

Mindfulness taught me to pay attention with kindness rather than judgment.

It wasn't about emptying my mind or doing meditation "perfectly."

It was about learning to meet myself with curiosity, compassion, and presence.

Even a few intentional minutes each day can begin to change our relationship with ourselves.

Nervous System Regulation

I discovered that I couldn't think my way out of overwhelm.

My body needed to experience safety before my mind could settle.

Simple nervous system practices helped me pause, breathe, and reconnect with myself throughout the day.

Those moments became small invitations to come home again and again.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

Awareness is powerful.

Sometimes awareness alone isn't enough.

Many of the beliefs and patterns that shape our lives live beneath conscious awareness.

Clinical hypnotherapy allowed me to gently work with my subconscious mind, releasing patterns that no longer served me and reconnecting with the wisdom that had been there all along.

Together, these three discoveries transformed not only how I healed.

They transformed how I live.

And they transformed how I support others.
